In 2023 the Carrathool Shire Council undertook rehabilitation works on the Goolgowi sewer ponds. This work was funded in part by the Local Rds & Community Infrastructure 3 program. The council cleaned the ponds and received relining material, with relining work (with concrete mats) commencing in 2023. The rehabilitation work has also included cleaning the ponds.
