In the Brisbane suburb of Burpengary upgrade works on the Stormwater channel drains. Replacing failed rip rap with Australian Concrete Mats FIRM CONCRETE MATS.
Concrete Mats are quick and easy to install, and they create a hard armoured permeable surface with interconnected geogrid that will prevent it from washing away during heavy rain events, unlike loose rock and rip rap methods.
We will bring you more detail as this project continues.

Total 4400sqm 2.4 wide x 15m long FIRM concrete mats were used with 400 gsm Non-Woven Geotextile Underlay – the mats were anchored using Galvanised steel UBar anchors at joins and overlaps.
