A new home on a sloped block created issues with driveway erosion and drainage from sloping site.

DETAILS:
New home built on sloping block. Owner decided to use concrete mats for the driveway surface and for the roadside drains that run alongside this sloping and curved driveway.
Underlay chosen was non-woven to minimise scouring and sediment undermining the geogrid and mat.
the mats enable god drainage and a stable hard surface to drive on. During rain events the washout of the road base will be minimized due to the concrete shapes trapping the loose gravel between the shapes.
Contractor was Rod Lill using a 5 ton excavator.
