The flexible concrete mat has textured concrete shapes embedded into high strength polyester geogrid, so vegetation can grow through the mat. Flexible Concrete mats are supplied in rolls, that are easy to handle and quick to install. Once laid down they start working right away, with sound and sustainable long-term benefits, perfect for rehabilitation scenarios.

Articulated Concrete Cable Block Mats

Articulated Concrete Cable Block Mats offer a hard armour protection and stabilisation. Used for high flow erosion control and heavy-duty protection and erosion prevention. Permeable and articulated features give the mat a versatility that ensure it can be used for various applications, including causeways, creek and low-bed crossings.

WHAT IS IT?

Flexible mats are concrete shapes embedded into a high strength polyester geogrid, with a layer of
geotextile underlay. There is open geogrid space left between the concrete shapes, which helps it
to be more pliable and where the vegetation can grow through.
 

CHARACTERISTICS

This is most “flexible” of our concrete mats – it has 3-dimensional flexibility allowing it to contour with the ground shape underneath and go around concrete. The underlay is placed on the underside and rolled up with it.
 

WHAT'S IT BEST FOR?

This is best mat if you want vegetation to grow through the mat and for where the ground is curved, sloped like a table drain or for rehabilitation of an embankment.

Firm Concrete Mats

WHAT IS IT?

Firm mats are concrete shapes embedded into a high strength polyester geogrid, with a layer of geotextile underlay attached. The mat is "firm" because the excess concrete between the concrete shapes has not been removed.
 

CHARACTERISTICS

This is the “stiffer” version of our concrete mats – it has 2-dimensional pliability which can shape to the ground underneath, but is not so “floppy”. The geotextile underlay is also attached to the underside of the mat.
 

WHAT'S IT BEST FOR?

This is best mat for slope stabilisation, roads, driveways, and creek crossings. Also this is best mat for wide stormwater drains and water channels, where there would be a higher flow of water.
