PROJECT OVERVIEW

Client required a safe and stable hard surface for his guests to drive and park their vehicles near their glamping tents. The driveway needed to be suitable for 2wd vehicles and also to protect the grass from traffic tracks.

WORKS UNDERTAKEN

In the clients words:

“We are very happy with how well the grass is growing back again. Steve, the installer, rotary hoed the driveway before moving the top layer to ‘the side’: it was then used to backfill.

We have also been gradually transplanting the Kikuyu as we weed garden beds. We are in no rush, but as you can see, the growth is going well.

Once the weather cools I’ll also apply some cold weather grass mix (no we didn’t sow under the mats).

What we don’t know yet is how it will handle vehicles in wet conditions: while it’s hard to believe at the moment, 2 wheel drives have been ‘stuck’ on this little patch.

Hopefully that problem will be ‘history’!”
